This was ordered because the valve in the car was leaking around the moving wire where coolant flows through the valve. As far as I know, this is the fourth valve in this car in the last 13 years. I myself have changed it twice since the store replaced it the first time I bought a used car. The car was already 14 years old at the time, so who knows how many of these valves were replaced prior to purchase. Replacing this valve required a smaller screwdriver to unscrew the valve from the hoses on both sides. It took a wrench to loosen the nuts holding the valve to the firewall under the hood. The original stainless steel screw clamps are recyclable. The whole process took no more than 15 minutes. Now the part doesn't leak anymore, which is good.
