These are like a puffer jacket for your feet. My feet stay dry and toasty warm but not hot. However, like another reviewer commented, these are not meant for slippery ice. They offer no traction at all. I fell flat on my back several times during a recent ice storm we had in the Pacific Northwest. Didn't matter how slowly I walked or how flat vs slanted the ground was. Before the icy conditions, I was in love with these boots. Rated three stars because they only do half the job for which they're advertised.
