I have had a GE Profile smooth finish electric hob for over 14 years. The only problem I've ever had is a burner stopped working and I ordered a new item which was easy to install. Recently another burner was not working properly and as the hob was damaged from years of heavy use I decided to buy a new one. I bought the Profile model because although it was more expensive the warranty was longer than a similar non-Profile model and I thought it would be better with a warranty. They are very similar, but the profile has parental controls. The new hob has larger burners than my old GE profile. The burner dimensions are in different places than the old one and I like this new arrangement better. I looked everywhere for the best price and Revain beat them all. I was surprised that the hob arrived 3 days after I ordered it. It's very easy to install and unlike my old hob it has foam padding around the rim so it doesn't leak under the hob when I'm simmering something.
