Have used temperature plugs in the past with not very good results.

As mentioned before, buy strong cable ties. It comes with zip ties (think 3 foot long wrap bread). For me, the power cord could have been a bit longer. But that's a car/battery placement issue. In most cars, the battery sits further forward. On 2 of my machines they are closer to the firewall. Does not affect its functionality. I assembled a temperature controller with a 'snap cap' set at about 38F, outlet in a 4x4 box. Have used temperature plugs in the past with not very good results.
