I was very happy to receive this pepper mill but am disappointed. Don't get me wrong - it works pretty well, but the design on the top doesn't look as good as the photos. In the light from above you can see that there are three colors, but without direct bright light it looks like a dark greenish-blue insert, badly glued. The fact that it's very glossy doesn't look great either when paired with an absolutely beautiful matte wood. The wood is great and the resin inlay isn't flush either. This looks like an error. Am I attacking? Yes. I live with a designer and he would have preferred if I gave this product a star as he actually said it was a design crime. I'm not joking. He said if he was teaching a product design course he would tell the student to go back and repeat it. Why is this so outrageous? Because the rest of the design of this pepper mill is also fantastic. Resin is superfluous and spoils the beauty of a well-finished matte wood. So no, don't buy it. Even if you like the design, you will be surprised how different it looks in real life. Please release this product for the company without using resin. So great without!
