The band itself in this tool is of good quality. It will not bend or fall off after being stretched more than 30 inches like some other branded bands I've had. The case is quite heavy, but as you can see from my photo, the lock is strong enough to keep the band where you want it, even when it's fighting gravity. The only thing I would like is to flip the numbers on the back of the tape measure - see my photo comparison for reference. Whatever the case, metric/inch are on the same page whether it's right handed or upside down. It would be nice if one inch side was up and the other metric up so that when making precise measurements you could choose which one to align with the surface you are trying to measure. So this two-way feature isn't as good as I was hoping, but it still has its uses. Overall this is a quality tape measure with a solid self-locking mechanism. The price is on par with other tape measures of this size and I like that it comes in both imperial and metric sizes as I use both frequently. I would recommend it!
