The unit works very well. Quiet, yet powerful enough to get the job done. Appears to be well built. The wife has only been there since Christmas so the school is not yet set for longevity - repost if there are any issues. The applicator sucks up cosmetics and sprays a very fine mist onto the skin. It was easy to set up and use - with a little practice you'll have a nice smooth app. Probably use a little less cosmetic for the same good or better results than normal use. It is very important to keep the applicator clean, buy a small set of cleaning brushes to make cleaning easier. My wife likes it very much.---------------------> It is now May 2013. It was a Christmas present from my husband. I enjoy using this machine, but I don't use it often. I thought it would be a problem but it's ok. During this time I tried two liquid foundations and both worked very well. But the key to this machine is cleaning and cleaning. I cleaned this machine after each use. You might find it annoying, but it's the main factor that keeps this machine running well. Her foundation continues effortlessly; Just keep the wand moving and don't leave it in one place. Looks better than applying with your fingers. Smoother and more even appearance. Cleaning: Rinse the stick. While working with the air on (as if applying foundation), use a very small brush to pour warm/hot water into the liquid soap portion of the cup. I use a very small soft lip brush. While washing, keep rinsing and blowing out the air. Dry well. It seems like it takes a long time, but it really doesn't after you've done it a few times.
