I bought these "just in case" to keep in my wife's car. When we really found ourselves in a snow and ice situation, they passed without much pain. (The installation took 25 minutes). However, after only 5 miles on a snowy road, one of the straps snapped and one of the gruel sheets flew off the car. I expected more durability from them but for the price I got what I paid for. Next time I'll buy real snow chains.
