Just got back from Yellowstone and this scope is worth every penny! We would have missed most of the wildlife if we didn't have a scope. The picture of the bald eagle was taken with my phone camera through the scope at 400 yards. The clarity is amazing, you can even see the eyes. In the vast valleys of Lamar and Hayden, you'll need a scope to keep an eye out between the trees for moving animals. With this telescope we were able to see 13 bears, 3 wolves, 2 bald eagles and numerous bull elk. Without him we would have missed all these animals. A bear eating a moose carcass was about 250 meters away; Again these are pictures taken by my cell phone through a spotting scope. Look at the pictures with and without the whistle, I would never have seen these bull mooses. I looked at another more expensive telescope and the difference was minimal but not enough to justify the price. My girlfriend also liked the scope and we spent our days looking for wildlife; that's a big win in my book! Freddy G from Texas
