Oh I've wanted Waterhog rugs in my house for years, I've always been put off by the cost, not anymore! We live on a large farm with various breeds of domestic animals, farm animals and also have many prime crops. I'm finally tired of the daily struggle with weed, dirt, filth, and other (not to mention) nasty things invading my house. Because others I live with have "selective" hearing and are bad at drying their feet and/or taking their shoes off. Eventually I gave up, went to my computer and ordered three waterhogs! I could have saved years of hard work if I had ordered these mats sooner! The Waterhog rugs are very well finished with the entire top of the rug having a waffle pattern. Each rug is tightly woven with strong and durable stitching, it even has double reinforced stitching all around. The top of the rug is a catcher for dirt, grime, makeup, etc. It holds a lot of water that doesn't seep into the surrounding floors or the underside of the rug. To clean the carpet you can: sweep with a broom, shake out, vacuum, and I could imagine that you can hose it down if necessary. I've never had to vacuum these rugs, I either shake them out or sweep them with a broom. Another thing I love about waterhogs is that pet hair doesn't "stick" to the carpet. If a pet leaves hair on the carpet, it can be easily removed by shaking it vigorously or using a broom. The lower part is made of rubber with small spikes that keep the mat in place securely and firmly. If dirt gets under the carpet, you can sweep it up with a broom, shake it out or, in the worst case, wipe it off with a damp cloth. All three waterhogs were true to size, I received the exact measurements I ordered. I even measured each rug for length and width and all three were exactly the size I ordered. You pay LESS at Revain than if you order from the Home & Kitchen department and there is no difference in the rugs other than the cost!
