I don't think the TV mount made the installation difficult, rather the lack of any support behind the wall in the basement of our van. My husband installed boards on the wall for a support system. The bolts that attach to the swing arm mount seem to want to strip, but I will seek help from the company and if unsatisfied I will update my review. We prefer not to store our TV in a storage compartment, so this mount is easy to remove when on the go, simply by loosening a hand screw on the swing arm and pressing the mount against the wall. UPDATE: The company did an excellent job of delivering what I needed. ! I have nothing to complain about and would buy another one.
