Review on Satco SF77 608 Recessed Converter Extender by Mark Harrison

Task: Have the porch light on at dusk and off at dawn. Problem: I previously purchased a GE advanced automatic lighting control base from Revain. GE Extended Base Automatic Light Control 18266 I thought this alone would extend the lamp and sensor light control far enough to get the job done, but no, that's my fault. So measured the sunken container properly rather than looking by eye and it's over 6 inches deep. ordered this and it lengthened more than enough to get the job done (a few extra inches). I chose this because the metal bar feels solid. Although I have to say that the plastic I screwed the GE sensor into is not high quality (I hope it will last and give a long term upgrade). What I like is that this plastic can be rotated 360, allowing me to position the GE sensor exactly where nothing is dangling. Then the last part is just ordinary light. Estimated time from start to finish is less than 5 minutes. Turned on the switch and voila, so far it's working like a charm. Automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn.
