Boil it if you plan to use it in the aquarium

These rocks are a good size for my Betta aquarium. The blue gravel I had before splintered, so I wanted something less toxic. These stones are coated. I had to boil it 15 times and a waxy substance came out. I've been brewing at dawn and brewing with vinegar towards the end. But I have to be careful that my little fish doesn't get sick. All in all I like them! Will update when he gets sick
