I have an old Wacom 21UX pen tablet/monitor with an analog/digital DVI-I connector that doesn't physically mate with more modern digital DVI connectors like those found on all newer graphics cards. In desperation I bought this DVI-I HDMI dongle hoping it would work. It happened! I had to call Wacom customer service and revert to a much older tablet driver to get it working, but all is good! (Remove the latest driver, unplug the USB, install an older driver and plug the USB back in. The blue light will come on and it's a tablet again!) DVI-I to HDMI delivers just that Video signal, while USB is what allows the tablet to work. . It works, it was there quickly and inexpensively.
