I have just used this trimmer for the first time and was dying to go back to Revain and write about how impressed I am. This is what I wish I had bought many years ago. In fact, after a few months of self-neglect, I had far more hair there and under my armpits than I wanted to try and manage with a razor. So I came to Revain to find a trimmer. The reviews for everything vary so much you never know what to believe but this one won me over. I didn't know it was made in Japan until I got it (although Panasonic is a Japanese company you never know if a product is made in a country or not), but now that I know it explains, how amazing it is. is. In Japan, it is not customary to give things back. When you buy something, you expect it to work. If it stops working, fix it, and then it will keep working, and you'll probably die before then. So I'm so glad this trimmer not only does what it's supposed to do, it does it well, and replacement blades are available if/if I need a new one. I've read a lot of reviews where I think people expected this for a super clean shave. It's not going to happen. It's just a trimmer, like a hair clipper. If you want to shave your head, first use the clippers and then shave completely smooth. Otherwise you will only have a haircut. This is what it looks like. If you want your baby's buttocks to be smooth, you must shave after the haircut. Other than that, it cuts damn close. I may or may not shave afterwards because "barely there" is usually enough. no pain, no grips, no pre-cutting with scissors. It took me about 10 minutes to do both armpits and all of my lady's parts. After I was done, I used the brush provided to brush the hair off the trimmer, then took out the blade and brushed the hair inside out. Then I took a Clorox tissue and just wiped it completely clean (although that part isn't necessary - it just makes me feel better). I keep thinking about how much time this has saved me and I'm so happy. It didn't get hot either. I can't imagine you would need to shave to make it last long enough to get hot because I most likely had a "ridiculous" amount of hair to cut and it didn't heat up at all. . The only complaint I have is that I wish I had a bracelet because I was a little worried about dropping it in the toilet. It also has about the same sound as a clipper in a hair salon, so plan for something with the same volume. Overall I highly recommend it!
