I live out of town and my Border Collie lives at home but loves to sit on the deck with me and watch critters. I'm afraid she'll be chasing an animal or a stray dog and get into trouble before I can reach her. With a cable instead of an air runner, I can always "wrap" it around my side if needed. I needed a 50ft rope that couldn't be found so I bought 2 packs of 25ft and spliced them together. The length is perfect and so far it's holding up well and feels secure. Dolly is a 60 lb border collie so the leash will twitch violently when those squirrels come by. So far it has held up well. I always keep an eye on her, just in case. I am sure that I will get my money's worth with the product.
