My Oregon 600 only jumps up when I eat a lot of it. Everything else is solid. It can be rotated if enough pressure is applied, but having it rotate or pop out on a hard impact is probably better than damaging the device. I have no problem keeping it in place while driving. My wheels are a little off the ground and I'm riding gnar. I see some people complaining that they can't mount it securely to the handlebars and that it rotates on bumps and the like. If you can install it on the pole you will get the best result. The rubber backing and zippers have more gripping surface. It also allows you to improve geometry when tightening zippers. I also see many people discarding electronic mounts altogether due to losing devices after an accident. If you are not smart enough to check your belongings after an accident, you are defective. Not your electronics mounts.
