I chose to use the brackets as template and drilled holes mount without visible bracket. Both the face plate and main unit are quite heavy for there sizes. They use cheap heavy potting material that makes the main connection body several pounds.The dash face place is also quite heavy but solid metal frame. The switch labels are stick on to outside face, I’m guessing they will ware in time or start to peel the corners up. But you get what you pay for and everything seems to be built well. I have not hade it installed for more then a day so will update if anything fails or new concerns come up.
