This item is pretty cool and 100% necessary for the lights. The lights I got were the nilight Amber and white 4". Needed to activate all modes. Works perfectly. You will have to wire it up of course and if you are not familiar with how to do that it may be a challenge. But it's not hard. I do suggest getting connectors that will endure elements. And maybe a few zip ties. Others than that? Do it.
