I keep buying Sanuk's flip flops, which is the most concrete praise I can give anything. They are consistently well constructed and offer the fabric lined tops that I personally prefer. The first couple of times I ordered a Fraid So or a Fraid Not I kind of wondered if I should spend this much money on a flip-flop when I can get one at the corner store for ten bucks. Then I put them on and that doubt melted away. These things are good and they are worth full price, so if you see them on sale jump on them.Because of the climate I live in I wear flip-flops pretty much year round and often in much harsher conditions than should be expected of such footwear. My previous pairs have been dunked in mud, run through rain, left out in 100°F+ heat, trod through sand and on one notable occasion actually buried by a dog. Seriously, I thought that only happened in cartoons. They just bounce back until they finally wear out and I've never felt cheated. My first pair lived through a full year of walking on a large university campus and continued to function as garden shoes for months afterward.
