The ability to track employee skills is very helpful in keeping up with the changing needs of our workforce. It allows me to keep an eye out for gaps that may need filling as well identify training opportunities before they become obsolete. I wish there was a way to export this information into other programs so it could be used for succession planning purposes. This would also help improve internal communication between departments or even across companies. We are able to quickly see what skills we have available and where those skill sets might be lacking at any given time.
