Review on ⚙️ SA177 Brother Side Cutter Foot - Silver by Denise Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Can't afford a sergeant.

I retired and moved to Mexico. I wanted to quilt so I wanted the CS6000i but they don't ship to Mexico so I got the XR3774. A year or two was fine, but I wanted more. I bought a refurbished PC420PRW and a friend of mine who was on his way to Mexico brought it to me. I sold my XR3774 and my Kenmore to pay for a new car. I sewed a blanket and am very happy with the purchase. Now I've joined a group called Needle Pushers that knit sweaters, dresses and vests for little kids in poor schools. My first attempt at sewing a dress was a success, but I had to zigzag, sew the seams and cut the fabric to get the right finish. I couldn't afford sergers and thought all the extra steps to get the finished edge were very time consuming and not that pretty. Since the instructions for my machine have stitches specifically for the side trim foot, I ordered one. Attachment was easy enough, as was the walking foot, but it took a few tries to get the fabric right. After 15 min. From the patterns I like how it ends with the choice of stitches 65, 66 and 67. One day when my ship arrives (without any relatives) I hope to find a surfer to continue my volunteer work, but for now I will go slow and steady with what I have. Update: Someone had a brand new Brother 1034D that hadn't been used in four years. I have a lot. Anyone who sews a lot cannot avoid the overlock. If you sew occasionally, SA 177 will do.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
