Serger alternative? Eh, no!

Please note I bought this for the Brother SE1900 which is not listed as compatible on Amazon but has been confirmed on the Brother website. For those who say the product is not compatible. I am sure you are using it incorrectly. The REAL question is does it work well, and the answer is NOT AT ALL. Use scissors instead. or better yet, look for a serger lol

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes

  • For old

Step by step how to use and love it!

I love these side cutters although the instructions are confusing. I brought this to class and people were very confused so I made this step by step video hoping it would help. Note: my hand got in the way when inserting the material and wants to make sure you know the material goes on the first bar (the one with the measurements). Divide it so that the part you want to cut is on the right and the part that will be sewn is under the second foot, guided to the needle. (It will become clearer if…

Attention buyers: not suitable for Brother LB-6800!

Attention customers: Does not quite match the Brother LB-6800! It's almost impossible to get this on the Brother LB-6800 and once you've done it, it's just as difficult to remove! Save time, money and nerves and buy what really suits you. The only way to do this was to lower the feed combs and block them. If you miss a slit, you will need to remove the needle and pull it out. There is no way to achieve this on the LB-6800 without risking car and leg damage. Unfortunately I was sure it would fit

Pros

Great little tool!

I received this on the exact same day my new Brother machine arrived. I took the advice of other reviewers and read the instructions in my machine's instruction manual (didn't even read the instructions that came with the sewing foot). Very easy! If you've ever set foot on your car, you'll have no trouble understanding this. I also watched a short video on YouTube. I then tried one layer that was already cut and another that I wanted to attach it to but hadn't cut yet. Went like clockwork! It…

Can't afford a sergeant.

I retired and moved to Mexico. I wanted to quilt so I wanted the CS6000i but they don't ship to Mexico so I got the XR3774. A year or two was fine, but I wanted more. I bought a refurbished PC420PRW and a friend of mine who was on his way to Mexico brought it to me. I sold my XR3774 and my Kenmore to pay for a new car. I sewed a blanket and am very happy with the purchase. Now I've joined a group called Needle Pushers that knit sweaters, dresses and vests for little kids in poor schools. My…

Failed to load media. ► Why I love it: When I got it I was in the process of designing and making a custom molded mattress pad for my husband's chair. He is so tall that when he reclines his feet always hang over the footstool and the chair always needs cushions under him from one end to the other and then another and another. I had to "tuck him away" every time he got up and sat down again, hence the custom pillow. It was always cold lying on pillows with bare legs, so I chose a nice fluffy…
