This is great because I can connect stones for air and create more air circulation for fish natural stone in natural plants I have in the aquarium. It can get a bit noisy over time, but otherwise it's great. I would spend more money to buy four different similar devices. (Update August 27, 2020, I've noticed that if you lower the water level in your tank the loud buzzing stops almost entirely which wasn't a big deal to me. Loud at first but has been since my 54 gallon corner tank almost full, the noise has almost completely stopped. I suspect more water means less stress on the pump. Hope this helps others.) Update: I bought it in June and it has gradually gotten louder. It's quite loud even on the lowest settings unless I have a fan running to boost the sound. However, the constantly running fan does not muffle the sound.
