Good for Concrete Patios

My backyard concrete patio is made from stamped concrete that mimics the look of flagstone, so it has a lot of crevices, nooks, and crannies for dirt to get trapped in. For most of the time, to conserve water, the patio is cleaned off with a broom or leaf blower. Over time, dirt accumulates in the various crevices, and it starts to get pretty dirty, particularly after the winter season when the rain washes a bunch of dirt off of the roof and patio cover on to the patio and then it turns into a harder dried mud like substance in the crevices that no longer will come off with simple sweeping or blowing. Because of that, I'll typically use my pressure washer to give the patio a good cleaning once a year after the rainy season so that the patio is nice and clean for the late Spring and Summer seasons when we spend more time in the back yard. Pressure washing the patio works very well, but with standard nozzles that came with he pressure washer, it is a tedious task. The wider spray nozzles don't clean it very well, particularly if I stand straight up and the nozzle is a couple of feet off the ground, so I typically need to use a medium width spray nozzle and then spray from 6" or less above the ground. It is effective, but time consuming since our patio is pretty big. This pressure washer surface cleaner is the perfect solution. I wish I had known that this type of product existed years ago. Instead of using a traditional nozzle, I connect my pressure washer to this surface cleaner and it converts the pressurized water into a spinning spray under the circular enclosure, right on top of the patio surface. This provides a decent width of coverage that quickly cleans the patio. While not the same, using this product makes pressure washing the patio more similar to vacuuming. You simply go back and forth along the surface of the patio until you have covered the entire thing. After the surface cleaner has loosened everything up, I can use a standard hose to spray it all down so that the dirt goes down the patio drains and in the surrounding lawns and planters.
