We've had the Princeton popper for years, it finally gave the last click so we needed another. Princeton Popper doesn't seem to be available so we took good old Revain's advice and went for this Great Northern Popper. You should consider dropping the word "beautiful" from his name. The size of the front door is too small and in most batches the grains will fly out of the machine during the pop. The metal plate under the front glass door can be made of aluminum foil. This is an annoyingly weak component. The same applies to the underlying core shell. The quality is a joke. I understand this is a sub $200 item but the quality is still very disappointing. However, if you only use this 2 or 3 times a year for a kid's birthday party or family reunion, it might be ok. We have a cinema room in the basement and we use it a lot, so it won't take long for us. considering what was said. They make popcorn out of it, so maybe I'm expecting too much. but on the other hand also my microwave.
