This is the second FPV drone I've tried and while receiving 5.8GHz video and an external antenna are great features, there is other areas where the value just isn't there. For example, the drone itself is half the size of the X5C, so almost a mini drone, but it weighs the same as the X5C, so the weight is very compact, and it seems that a sharp fall could break it. Almost every other drone I've owned could easily fall 10 or 15 feet with no damage, this one will most likely break. The blades are also small (much less than half the size of my X5C), very soft and brittle. I had issues with the blades bending and snapping off in small collisions when I got tired of flying it. Then when I tried to take it outside in 8kph wind I had almost no way to control it upwind. Basically, that's how the drone should fly no matter what direction the wind is blowing, and I couldn't fight it. I then switched it to high speed mode to get a bit more power and I was able to hover in place with the front stick into the wind, but I still couldn't get any further in 8mph winds. Then I let go of the stick and the wind carried the drone so fast I couldn't keep it from hitting the edge of my wooden fence. It seemed like I landed vertically so I tried to take off again but it made a funny noise so I walked over and found the blade had broken in half so after about a minute outside I was out of action . Now he has a blade guard, but that's a joke. They have to be brittle, bend in the blades, and not protrude beyond the blades so hitting something like a blanket will also damage the blades. In comparison, my X5C blades have never had to be replaced even after 2 years of use and I've removed the guards entirely as they aren't needed due to durability. I can fly the X5C in wind speeds of 10-15mph without too much trouble, but this drone doesn't work in all winds at all. Then, as if that wasn't enough, this drone should have little pads of debris on top of each of them. Landing poor but they all fell off around the house in the first 5 minutes of my flight and they are so small I will never find them and they were probably eaten by my vacuum cleaner. Now it makes a loud clack when it lands since it's made of hard plastic. I also think this quadcopter is not balanced with the camera they put on it as it needs a lot of trimming to keep it from leaning way back and a bit to the left. Unfortunately, after you turn off the controller, it forgets about the trimmer, so you have to do this every time you turn it on. And I had to push the trim forward 10 times to stop the drift, which of course affected forward speed as it was already expending quite a bit of forward thrust to keep it from drifting. Ironically, this thing doesn't have an on/off switch either, so you'll have to turn it off by removing the battery, but the battery cover is cumbersome and very tight, so that's not easy. It was easier for me not to remove the battery cover as the battery is tight and won't fall out even if dropped. The battery is the same as the X5C, so having those is a bonus. In short, I am not satisfied with this drone and numerous problems have forced me to send it in for a refund. See a more detailed review here [.] Pros: FPV with dedicated monitor and 5.8G video External antenna Decent 720p camera Auto-connect to controller and video feed for less than $100 Cons: No in/out Power off switch Uncomfortable battery cover Uncomfortable battery cover Unbalanced and doesn't remember trim Less than average drone sensitive Soft and weak propellers Weak, almost useless blade guards
