Bad latency, uncomfortable to use during the day

Introduction: I've been using an older model for 9 years - Logitech H800. I've looked through half a dozen of these as they don't last more than a year or two. The H800s don't offer anything special in terms of sound quality, but they're very light on the ears and I can use them while charging, so they work well for 8+ hours of continuous online calls. I've been waiting for an updated version for years and was delighted to purchase the Zone Wireless Plus. Unfortunately, they feel like both an upgrade and a downgrade: Pros: 1. Better materials and sound quality than the H8002. You can use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi at the same time without having to switch between them3. Well-designed app with many useful features4. Great Logitech customer support - they understood the issues and tried to help by sending a free replacement. You can lift the boom arm to quickly mute your audio6. Voice prompts inform you about the battery and connection status7. You can charge the headset wirelessly, and the micro-USB port feels a lot more durable than the H8008. As with the H800, you can continue working while charging9. Mic quality is better than the H800, which was pretty decent10. The noise canceling is a nice addon, but it doesn't perform quite as impressively as Apple's AirPods Pro, essentially cranking sounds like a washing machine running in the next room to a higher pitch. Cons: 1. Delay/latency is audible - much worse than the H800. For me, latency becomes an issue when you're watching a movie or talking to someone over Zoom - there's an annoying gap between what you're seeing and what you're hearing. I experience this on bluetooth and via wifi dongle, on mac and pc. Replacing the key and then the headset under warranty didn't help either, which means that's a downside of this model. Watch the attached video to illustrate the problem and see for yourself if the problem is enough for you. (Ignore other aspects of sound quality, since I used the phone's microphone next to the headphones for the recording). I used this video clip if you want to compare apples to apples - https://youtu.be/LjLdvvxIbpo?t=1462. The metal strap and ear cushions put just enough pressure on your ears to block out outside noise and keep you comfortable for minutes. however, after 30 minutes the pressure becomes noticeable. After 4-5 hours it becomes painful. This may be my personal tolerance level, but I've never had this issue with the flatter H8003 foam earcups. Usability issue: when the headset is connected to my desktop dongle below (no playback) and at the same time I am using the headset to play an audio book from my smartphone above, but the first two problems prevent me from enjoying it to the fullest. I would give them time to develop an updated model with fixes. but the first two problems prevent you from fully enjoying it.
