Perfect fit. There is a tray/case in the Highlander. The filter goes into the tray and you slide the tray back into the machine (behind the glove box). It couldn't be simpler (good design, Toyota). This tray has an "UP” indicator with up arrows to reinsert the tray. The information "Air consumption" is located on the filter, arrows pointing downwards. This can be a little confusing, but look at my photos to see that the airflow is actually downwards. So turn the filter upside down in the bowl. Then reinsert the tray with the arrow pointing up. I hope that makes sense. I have not used the filter long enough to speak of durability or odor control effectiveness. I can update later. Safe journey!
