Review on πŸ“¦ mCover Clear Hard Shell Case for Apple MacBook Pro 15.4-inch (16-inch Retina & TouchBar with USB-C, A2141) by Scott Gafur

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice combination of MBP cover and keyboard protector

I used to have a MBP 13 inch with a KUZY case (black) and a keyboard cover (black). I recently upgraded to an MBP 15 inch and wanted to buy back a KUZY product. After reading the reviews, I chose the iPearl product as it was cheaper and came with a keyboard case. I also liked the fact that the bottom has slightly larger "bulging" legs to lift the laptop slightly, two "legs" that step back to lift the laptop for more comfortable typing, and large ventilation slots. The product feels solid and I had no trouble putting it on (although it would be nice to have more detailed instructions to understand which end goes where, especially for the upper). Nothing cracked or torn during installation. I chose a transparent color because I wanted to enjoy the color of my laptop and take a break from black (and color in general). The keyboard cover is also good. In some places it seems a bit big, especially the square. However, it doesn't stop me from typing in general and offers a bit more responsiveness when typing on the KUZY keyboard. One thing I didn't care about the KUZY keyboard cover (I had one with black keys) was that it left marks on the laptop screen when closed (and especially when the laptop was "pressed" while traveling, for example. became). Luckily, the smudges were removed with a cleaning cloth, but when there wasn't one, the presence of smudges on the screen was annoying. iPearl's cover is barely visible at the moment, but I have yet to travel with it. Overall I like this product very much. I gave 4 stars (maybe 4.5 if I could) as the keyboard cover doesn't fit. But for the price, it's a small price to pay for added keyboard protection. UPDATE 2/15/17 - NOT SUCH COMPLIANCE/ISSUE I've found that the more I use the keyboard cover, the more issues I have with its functionality. . In particular, the lid is not really tight. When I type and move my fingers across the keyboard, my fingers get caught on the edges of the cover. Also, the area of the spacebar goes up and under the spacebar all the time. I'm not sure if this case stretches when I use it, but even if it snaps when put on, it's definitely not a snug fit. This causes problems with the speed and accuracy of my typing. It looks like I'll have to buy another Kuza cover. While the latter wasn't perfect, it was tighter on the keyboard and I didn't have those issues. 2.5 STARS for the keyboard cover.
