Works great in doors

My local hardware store didn't have lever anchors for hollow doors. (They have other solutions that don't look as reliable). So I waited weeks to get them from Revain but they are exactly what I wanted and work great. I've attached several shelves to the door and they seem sturdy. Maybe it's just me, but I find it odd that they sell them in odd numbers (5) per pack?

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not sure

Not suitable for hollow doors in my house

I've found that hollow doors aren't actually hollow, but have a honeycomb interior made of heavy-duty cardboard. This means that the toggler CANNOT open inside the door! Hollow door screws, sometimes called anchors, are much better. They are available from Revain and elsewhere. Be sure to watch the hollow door screw installation video before using them.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Hardly ever

Perfect product for my needs

I was installing a wire mesh shelf on the inside of a closet door and needed hollow door anchors. Not only was this company's product perfect and easy to install, but their website also had a nice YouTube tutorial video that anyone could understand and follow. Good company and good product. Now we're going to do the inside of the pantry door and we'll need the Toggler TA Areca Hollow Door Anchors.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • weak

Finally I can hang shelves!

I can finally hang heavier things on my thin walls. They work great but my only complaint is that I wish they had a stronger push pin. They are difficult to open and require a lot of force. The little pin you use to open them will bend with too much force. Instead I had to find a dull nail and even pry it open with a hammer. But once open they are very strong and will not turn when you insert a screw.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Extremely strong. good for anchoring

I use these on a hollow door to attach a full door rubber shelf for my kitchen pantry. I've been using them for 3 months now and I have about 30lbs of static load on them and they are still tight and won't move a bit. They are very easy to install, it took about 5 minutes. For the price they are unbeatable. Update: 3 months with a 30lb static load and it still shows no signs of shearing. Update 2: 5 months and up to 35 pounds.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No automatic

Beware of honeycomb hollow doors

This product works great with one exception. My interior doors are hollow but with a dense honeycomb pattern in the door. You'll have a hard time expanding these anchors, as the honeycomb pattern in the door interferes with the anchor expanding - when you try to press the red button. I used a right angle pickaxe after drilling a pilot hole to try to remove some material in the door to allow the anchors to expand. In some areas of the door I had to use a different brand of anchor.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Ideal for hollow section doors, do not try other anchors!

I had a problem with a hollow interior door where the doorstop was screwed into the door itself. Unfortunately, when screwing it in, it was not in the wooden frame of the door, but in the hollow part. In the end it broke, bad. I tried using screw-in hollow core door anchors from one of the big department stores but it didn't work. I was afraid to patch the door somehow, but I decided to try these anchors. It was the PERFECT decision. They went in easily, stretched and held on. I was able to…

The hunt is over Good for the anchors

I live in an old RV and am trying to hang simple items like small decorative shelves and cornices on the walls but to no avail. Installing all fasteners, all types of locks, anchors, etc., resulted in the screws working away from the wall a little and eventually coming out all the way. They not only came out, but left gaps around the mounting piece that looked awful. The instructions say you can't use a hammer for this, but neither my husband nor I could push in, so I tapped the tool gently and

Exactly as described, very durable (updated 9 months later)

They are very good. For months I've been trying to attach shelves (using 3M hooks with adhesive pads) to the inside of the closet doors in my warehouse and whether they were light and empty or loaded, each would fall off the door onto the floor. floor in a few days. I finally bought them and my racks have been firmly in place ever since. Every time I need to attach something to a hollow core door again, I immediately reach for these anchors. During installation I found that to drill the holes…
