I really liked this stick, to date it has been the best hair product. I plugged it in as usual to curl my hair. The handle, which is usually cold, was VERY hot. It was very uncomfortable to touch and hold because of the heat. The stick felt very hot, much hotter than what I use (I curl at 350). And it smelled fried. I'm afraid to use it now because it's dangerous and I don't want to burn my hands or hair! I bought it in December 2020. I ONLY HAVE IT 5.5 MONTHS! I would expect something in this price range to last at least 5 years! :(
