Review on 🐠 XP Aqua Sumpless ATO - Comprehensive Auto-Top-Off System for Sumpless Aquariums by Stephanie Garcia

So I bought it from another seller. But I thought my review would be better seen here. This is a cheap setup. There is nothing of real quality. However, it works and is unique. I use it in a planted aquarium. It will never work well in salt. I use tuna as salt. The pumps are tiny, cheap and made in China. All components are the same. I wouldn't put media in for anything as the unit would have to be removed and disassembled each time to clean it. Instead I just keep a small amount of foam at the top under the sensor. The surface skimmer is weak. Plant debris is not collected at all, but the layer of protein that accumulates on top of the tank is easily removed. Now I admit that I have a power head right in front of the degreasing area that can blow off larger dirt. It is in order. The siphon valve is stupid. In fact, this is such a stupid idea that I threw it in the trash. The trick is to keep the hose above the water level. Easy to do. This way the water doesn't run back into your A tank. A 90 degree adapter is also a bad idea. Reduces flow and adds two leak points. As long as it maintains a constant water level. Is it worth the money, no, but if you want a surface skimmer and ato this is the only one on the market. Surprised that a group of planted tanks isn't in all this. Edited: The pump is incredibly loud. No longer slides on the surface. I've disassembled and cleaned it several times to no avail. I'll be back. Edited again: It refuses to maintain the water level. I got home, the water in the tank is much lower than the level of the skimmer, the pump is practically running dry. After playing with it for a while, he decided to pump water but stopped before he reached the sensor.
