I was very hesitant to buy for several reasons. (1) It's a Revain and you usually have to spend hundreds for good quality bright bulbs, (2) the price was almost too good to be true, and (3) different reviews. I bought two of these lamps to use as dashboards. One in a private car, the other in a company car. I figured $50 would be a good deal to at least try them out. They were installed about 3 weeks before I was able to use them (other than for testing) for an actual 911 call. I stood still for about 20-30 minutes when I noticed all my other lights were blinking but this one stopped. I had it hardwired so I knew it had to be a light source and not a power source as everything else worked. I contacted Amazon who said the return period had expired so they asked me to contact the seller for a guarantee. I explained to the seller what had happened and they offered to replace the light. Tonight I installed a new lantern along with a second to make a dual sight light. I tested the original again just to see what would happen and the left module started smoking. Obviously the main problem is inside the light. It's now back to Amazon in a box. The two new bulbs look great on the windshield and are VERY BRIGHT. Strangely impressed. Let's hope that the problem was only with one light and everything is fine. video attached. I unscrewed the protective cover from one light source and turned it over so the white one was in the middle. The suction cups didn't hold. I used 3M fixing tape which holds up well in all temperatures.
