Review on QDOS Extending SafeGate Baby Gate by Victoria Scholten

Two dogs and a tiny person traveling we decided to replace the drawer grate on the stairs to our basement. This is a big upgrade, feels really solid, metal, definitely recommended for a place that needs a permanent/long term fixation. I see a few complaints that it's really hard to build, and it just isn't. Everything OK. It will take a bit of time and you will need a wall drill, but the instructions are simple enough, they include a template so you can drill without even measuring. Actually quite good. In a few weeks I will say that the opening is not bad, but it is not so easy to close it with one hand, at least with the option of a bidirectional rotary installation. The extra stops prevent it from moving the other way if you want it to, without having to find the right place to put it in the latch. I like being able to rotate it both ways because I find it worth the effort. Also, I'm very tall and usually just step over him. (You have to be about 6ft 4in for this to be an easy option.) Not a deal breaker, Def still recommends it.
