Very durable! You need two to hang it up.

The gate was more difficult to install than I had hoped but once installed I liked it very much. It is easy to open for an adult, but when closed and locked, it is strong and immovable. Since he's guarding the stairs to the basement from my nimble little grandson, I'm grateful for the help!

Pros
  • New to my collection

Too heavy! good for safety

I have some baby gates that are good except they all have a crossbar at the bottom so my robot can't move. I bought it because there is no latch. The thing can hardly be opened/closed. We can't take it! Don't buy if you really want to be able to move in and out of the area you placed it in. It requires 2 hands and requires effort!

Pros
  • Nice construction
Cons
  • I really don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Works well, happy with the purchase.

I have nothing to compare as this is our first gate but after some shopping we settled on this gate (we were looking for a corner mounting gate that we could modify a bit so the cat could get through the gate walk). It took about an hour to install the gate (also installed protection for the railing) but everything was pretty easy. The gate is solid, we are happy with the purchase. * The gate is a little difficult to open (latch) but everything seems to "break open" and the gate operation is…

DO NOT BUY! - Gates and gate extensions

It was just a BEAST to assemble. The instructions don't give the steps and the video tutorials don't describe it well either. I called support and sent pictures but they never gave me the information I needed to fix the installation issue. Luckily my slick dad figured it out himself. Unfortunately after several days of trying it out once assembled I found it sucked on the gate and had to return it when I had the opportunity. The hinges aren't fixed, so if you lift too high to open, the other…

Amazing adjustability!

These gates are perfect for permanent installation! We have some bizarre sizes with railings at the top of our stairs, but these gates were able to span an unusually long distance as well as accommodate different gap distances at the top and bottom of the gate! These gates are phenomenally easy to close and easy enough to open with one hand, but the opening mechanism is next to impossible for our kids. We would definitely buy another one if the dimensions of our corridor weren't so limited that

Much better than the drawer grate

Two dogs and a tiny person traveling we decided to replace the drawer grate on the stairs to our basement. This is a big upgrade, feels really solid, metal, definitely recommended for a place that needs a permanent/long term fixation. I see a few complaints that it's really hard to build, and it just isn't. Everything OK. It will take a bit of time and you will need a wall drill, but the instructions are simple enough, they include a template so you can drill without even measuring. Actually…
