Review on πŸ”Œ Broan-NuTone F403623 36-Inch Black Under Cabinet Exhaust Fan with 2-Speed Range Hood Insert and Light by Ronald Orear

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It was an upgrade to what I had and I love it!

Last year we (mostly) remodeled our kitchen. The house was built in the 70's and was never renovated so we still had laminate wood cabinets, laminate countertops, laminate floors, a black microwave etc. Very dark as the kitchen is in the middle of the house. We painted all the cabinets white, took the monster out of the microwave, and now we had to fill that space. I liked the idea of not having to duck down to see what I was cooking in the background, so we started looking at range hoods. With every home project proving to be more expensive than you originally thought due to newly discovered problems, we needed an inexpensive range hood that would allow for a rectangular duct at the top, but also from a brand I'd heard of. After reviewing many makes/models and comparing prices in stores we settled on this little one. She was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I can talk about it more than others, but from someone used to a dark, dirty, and totally broken/dead microwave, to a bright, airy range hood, this is a dream come true. I probably installed it in March or April 2017 and have been using it to cook every day since (love the extra light when cooking on the stove). The fan is excellent, it sucks vapor straight up. I haven't burned anything where there's real smoke to siphon, but I cook exclusively on cast iron, and when I cook a steak or rotisserie chicken, some smoke comes out, but it sucks right away. I mainly use the fan when making pasta and cooking pasta (at least once a week). Keeps the kitchen clean, my cupboards above the stove don't get wet from condensation. I love this item, I have had no problems and highly recommend it.
