Have already ordered and installed these lamps in several kitchens. I like the gesture activation, not having to search for the switch, and how they light up the space under the counter. They come with double sided tape so mechanical fasteners are not required although they are included if required. The wire guides are also covered with tape, making them relatively easy to install. There are one or two downsides to get used to. First, depending on your usage, you can sometimes turn the light on (off or on) unintentionally. This requires you to get your hand or other object close enough to the sensor, but that can happen. With a flick of the wrist the light turns on or off, so it wasn't a big issue for me. Second, the light intensity is controlled over a fairly wide range. It takes a little practice to activate the sensor and wait for it to toggle between your desired intensity and light level, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. This setting can also work inadvertently, for example by changing the setting from a high level to something less, requiring readjustment (back to a high level in my case). A hardwired installation often requires an electrician to catch wires, install boxes, etc., which costs a lot more money. I liked the simplicity, convenience and fairly affordable price of this option, and the light is excellent.
