Works great: Power tools

This tool does everything it says in the description. Unlike most wood burning or soldering tools, this one has a digital temperature display that can be set to any temperature from 400 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit in 20 degree increments. Heats up amazingly fast. The included silicone sleeve was a little difficult to fit onto the end of the device, but once in place it offers a much better grip on the instrument. The only problem I found is that the instructions are a bit sparse. It would be helpful to provide recommended temperature ranges for the various applications the tool is intended for. I had to experiment with wood burning temperatures and found that 600 degrees Fahrenheit was fine for burning oak and pine. I believe normal soldering requires a maximum temperature of 900 degrees, although I haven't tried it for this application. It can also be used on plastic for trimming or welding, but this requires temperatures on the lower end of the scale and the setting depends on the type of plastic. Fume extraction or dispersal is also important for all uses of this tool, so proper ventilation must be provided. This set comes with a storage box with dividers to store any small ends that come with this tool. Because this tool doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet, it's portable, but it has a thick cable between the tool and the hub/battery, so it's not completely wireless. I look forward to using these tools on various modeling and other projects in the future.
