Variable Temperature Crafting & Soldering Tool

If you have a MakerX hub and a 20V battery, this tool is a great addition to wood burning, soldering, and other "crafting" jobs ". I really appreciate wood burning, but I use it primarily for soldering and the fact that it's battery operated means I can keep it in my MakerX storage bag along with other tools I have and take it with me wherever I go. Battery operated soldering iron for maximum performance

I have been an electronics, engineer and DIY enthusiast for over fifty years. I have used and owned a wide range of soldering equipment from basic irons to professional soldering stations. My personal station at home is the Weller WT-1 base and the WT P90 soldering pin. This Worx portable iron (and "hobby" hot-handle) doesn't do Weller's job, it only does it when you're near an outlet. Works great: Power tools

This tool does everything it says in the description. Unlike most wood burning or soldering tools, this one has a digital temperature display that can be set to any temperature from 400 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit in 20 degree increments. Heats up amazingly fast. The included silicone sleeve was a little difficult to fit onto the end of the device, but once in place it offers a much better grip on the instrument.
