Great and amazing. I heard even the faintest background note clearly. The sound is well balanced. The bass is perfect, not artificially boosted to give you a headache. These headphones block most outside noise. I swear. During the ride on the LIRR train between my home and Penn Station in New York, I didn't hear a single decibel of outside noise. I didn't hear the loud announcement of the station, the loud chatter of the girls sitting next to you, or the sound of the train. Nada. This was not possible with my old headphones. They're perfect for listening outdoors, but be careful where you use them.
