I'm really surprised at how good this system is

I'm really surprised at how good this system is. I use it in the stable and have used 2 Hikvision cameras before. I wanted more cameras but didn't want to run hundreds of feet of Ethernet cable, so I did a little research and tried this system. Initial setup and testing only took a few hours (including setting up the app on my phone and computer). ). Four cameras of the camera are installed at 10-20ft intervals on both sides of the NVR, and 4 are located in an open area at a distance of about 150ft. The signal from all the cameras was strong and I didn't have to try daisy chaining them to the Dreamliner relay. I have an NVR connected to a Ubiquity Nanostation upstairs in the barn that connects to my home network 200 meters away and had no trouble watching live streams and recordings. The video quality is stable, not as good as Hikvision's. , but they are better than I expected from a wireless system. I added a 2TB hard drive and the recording system worked great. Watching videos is very easy from the phone app or directly from the NVR (the desktop app is a different story). The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the desktop app is unusable. I tried installing it on 3 different computers but they all had the same problem. After the first installation, the program works perfectly. You can easily view recordings and watch live broadcasts, but after you close the program and try to open it again, all you get is a black screen. You can still view cameras from your web browser by getting their IP addresses, but viewing recordings from them is quite difficult. The Android app turned out to be surprisingly good. It works great 95% of the time, I get clear video at home via LAN and away from home via cellular. Viewing a recording is extremely easy. 5% of the time the app freezes (usually on the splash screen) and I have to close and reopen it. To be honest I don't count the occasional crashes as almost every other brand I've tried in the past (FOSCAM!) has had their camera apps rubbish and this one is pretty reliable and easy to use. happy with the system and would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. EDIT: Upgraded to 5 stars. A few hours after this review was published, xmartO posted a comment asking me to run the desktop app as an administrator, which worked great. xmartO, thank you!
