They are much better than the same style I replace. They're a lot brighter, they're a lot safer to mount, and they only have 4 settings instead of 12. I only use two settings and when I have to go through 12 settings to turn off the light, it gets boring very quickly. I use them to keep track of my extraordinarily independent little dog. I want her to have freedom, but she tends to abuse that privilege. These lights are so bright that I use them even during the day. Now, between the BRIGHTEST light and the LOUDEST bell, our walks are less nervous for me. Update: I lowered my rating by one star because the USB port is difficult to access. Too bad such a simple bug wasn't fixed by the design team.
