Works well for me. As a first-time dog owner, I have never seen a flea on my dog until earlier this week so I thought the flea comb was how to get it out, but little did I know that when the flea is still alive and moving, that comb isn't going to do any good as the flea will jump away. Then I remembered I had this spray and shot a spray of this on the flea and it no longer moved so I was able to get it out of my dog's hair. My dog was not irritated at all by the spray and I haven't seen him scratch or lick where I sprayed. I did apply the Frontline flea/tick treatment earlier this month but to my understanding is that it would kill fleas in 24 hours so I would still see live fleas. However, I don't like the idea of seeing live fleas moving around and have faith it will die in 24 hours. I want to see it dead now so this spray is great for that. Of course, I'm sure there will be some fleas that I may miss and that's where I hope Frontline really does work. As for smell, it's actually a very nice pleasant smell that makes the room smell fresh. Not a chemical smell at all so it's very enjoyable.
