We have such a Dyson V8 Animal. This is by far the best vacuum cleaner we've ever had. We've had it for a few years now, but unfortunately it's become less and less effective over the past few months. We cleaned the filters as detailed on the Dyson website and while they looked clean our vacuum didn't pick up well and did something that 'pulsed' when full even when not full. It really sucks. Or I think he *doesn't* suck, and that was the problem. Since a new vacuum costs around $500, we decided to try a set of new filters hoping it would last a few more months. Wow. It works very well again. It has suction power, doesn't "pulse" and sucks like new. Basically, our vacuum cleaner sucks again. Thank God! tl;dr -- Although our old filters looked clean, they weren't. These new filters made our vacuum cleaner look like new.
