Switch toggles out of park. I also found out a long time ago that the cruise control no longer works. This one part fixes both problems. The dealer charges several hundred dollars for each repair and often replaces the entire switch assembly instead of this small part. This part also comes with new zip ties and brackets, so don't worry about storing the factory zip ties and brackets. The factory plug on the passenger side shifter slides (hard) towards the back of the car but only slides off and this new one slides back.
