I bought this for my Land Rover Discovery 2 and it fits perfectly and my truck works perfectly again. If your car has shut down and you can then wait a while and drive a short distance again before shutting it down again, that's probably the problem and it's worth swapping out and seeing if it gets you up and running again. INSTALLATION: The sensor is located just above the first connection of the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe on the driver's side. I've found the best way to work by car is to lie under the truck with your feet toward the back of the truck. I tried removing the fitting and dropping the exhaust pipe but two bolts on the link plate broke. The third was rounded and I couldn't remove the exhaust pipe and had to work around it. It was SUPER HARD work. I'm a fairly skinny guy with medium sized arms, but my forearms were too big to slip through the tube easily. Get that thing out of the way if you can, but be PREPARED and have new bolts on hand to replace if they break. It will also take you a little time to get those broken bobby pins out if this happens to you too. WEAR GOGGLES/GOGGLES (preferably closed side). The cover is secured with two 7mm screws. They should come loose easily (make sure you don't overtighten when reinstalling) and then you should be able to slide the cap out of the way. Once removed you will need to remove the two 8mm screws that actually hold the sensor. I used a very small wrench to remove it (a ratchet would have been nice but I got it to work without it). Pull this guy out and then you have to pull out the electrical connection. I pushed in a small flashlight and aimed it at the sensor area. I used VERY CAREFULLY (not to break the connector clip) a small precision pan head to gently lift the single retaining clip and then pull down to remove the connector. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to reconnect, but I was able to use my index finger on top and pull my thumb and middle finger until it clicks. Keep in mind that with the exhaust as I am describing this is MUCH more difficult and possibly impossible. In hindsight, I wish I had just removed the head and lowered the entire exhaust to that side. If you can do this, or are able to break that first link without breaking the cleats, it will be a fairly easy task. It's been working for me for a week now. Hopefully it doesn't mess things up again for a while.
