It was almost as good as I expected

The very first thing I did with this headset, even before I plugged it in, was the comfort and light transmission testing. The device fits comfortably on my head, but I had some bleeding from the sides and nose. Since the liner only attaches with Velcro, I removed it and adjusted the liner so the bottom edges just touch the nose flaps. This simple thing eliminated all light leaks from the bottom and sides. I put on my headset (still unplugged) and found myself in complete darkness. That was excellent. Then I started connecting. I used to have an Acer set so I just unplugged the jacks and put the other headset in a closet for safekeeping. I powered on the controllers and my system performed a small configuration update after which I was ready to go. I didn't have to change any settings, I didn't have to adjust the room or anything like that. All my settings were transferred to the new headset and I was in the game at the touch of a button. Judging by the picture, the anti-SDE filter significantly reduces SDE, but does not completely eliminate it. I also noticed that the Pentile OLED matrix is more visible when viewing horizontal lines than the RGB stripe matrix used in Acer LCDs. If you look at the horizontal lines, you can actually see some pixelation. However, the colors and blacks are much deeper and brighter, to the point where they cancel out any slight pixelation you might see. Text and fine lines are a bit blurrier due to the anti-SDE filter, but once you get used to it it won't be a big deal. the upgrade costs money. I paid 4/5 of the sale price with a generous financing offer and am very happy with my purchase. This really is the best in virtual reality technology today and I highly recommend it for both enthusiasts and casual users alike.
