Review on Efficient Hitch Mount Platform 2-Bike Rack: MAXXHAUL 50027 for Easy Bike Transport by Ronald Noel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Spring loaded and loose for accessories

Bad attempt at mounting for bikes. The idea is to keep your bikes from bouncing around so you don't damage them. This thing has horrendous play after assembly, everything will bounce as you move on the street. The hitch attachment plate that pulls the trunk's main body together works well, but everything else attached to the main body is loose. Each individual part "secured" with the pins provided has 1/8" to 1/4" play, which doesn't seem like much but creates an inch of play at the other end of the assembly. The knobs for tightening the mounting arms are also located directly on the bike, making proper mounting impossible. I drilled a hole in the top of the frame to try and get a better angle with the levers but it didn't work and now the holder is non-returnable (all my fault). Save your money and invest in one of the right carriers from a reputable brand. I'll try to find a way to properly tie the holder pieces together so the thing is more stable as I can't return it. Pay attention to the manufacturer, remove the pins and install the appropriate screws to make the frame strong. and actually it might be 1/2 a decent carrier for the price.
