The remote control makes it very difficult for the parents. The functions and the power button are the same as on the remote control. I gave them away and they had one that lasted 10 years and the speakers eventually failed. This new one is disappointing, to say the least. Sounds good, other features work fine. Sometimes the remote control power supply works as it should. Sometimes it just does the functional part. Hold writes 1+ sec, failed multiple times. It may just be the remote for that device, but I told them to only use the power on the device, not the remote.
